This is simply a note to thank ALL those who helped my son transition from homelessness and injured to receiving the help he needed. Cassie and the SMART program and the hospitals that support their program are like angels to us. They took a situation that was overwhelming to all of us and helped make it manageable. I will never be able to express our gratitude. Just know I sing your praises to all.
My father is 90 years old, and suffers from dementia, he had lived in an assisted living facility for over two years, until he fell, and were given a three day notice to move him. I called Christine Mederios on a Friday evening expecting to leave a message, we never dreamed she would answer her phone and be willing to help at that hour. Within a short time Christine had calmed our fears and promised to find our dad a great home. True to her word, Christine called Saturday before noon with a promising facility in Sacramento. There seems to be no end to Christine’s knowledge and compassion. We were able to move my father by the following Thursday. I will never forget Christine and what she did for my family. Above all, she gave us hope through a very difficult time.
