Over the past 28 years I have reinvented myself professionally many times, but until I began working in the senior care industry I never truly felt that I was making an impact or a difference. I lost my mom in 2011, at the early age of 62 and it changed my world. She was my best friend and my strength and when she left I was lost. I had been a restaurant manager for 19 years and decided I needed to make a change in my life, and after seeing the need for more compassionate people in the health care field I decided to leave the restaurant industry and go back to school to finish my Bachelor’s degree, focusing on Health Services Administration.
Throughout the years of working in the hospitality industry I had never felt as though I could make a difference in someone’s life, and in the few short years I have been working to help advocate for seniors, I feel as though I have made a real difference in the lives of the people we care for.
Until April, 2015 when I moved to Sacramento, California to begin working with A Senior Connection, I had spent the last two years working as an Administrator for a small in-home senior care company, overseeing all aspects of the business from payroll, marketing, and advertising, to sales, and collections. However, the aspect of my job that always brought me the most joy, was working directly with the clients and caregivers to ensure the highest quality of care is always being given.Go Back
